Services for You & Your Baby

  • Fertility Assistance: MetroWest Medical Center has partnered with Boston IVF, America’s most experienced and successful IVF center to bring fertility services closer to home. This program includes on-site diagnostic consultation and early-stage embryonic monitoring.
  • Newspaper Announcements: We are happy to send an announcement about your baby’s birth to your local newspaper. Ask your nurse for more information.
  • Choosing Your Baby’s Doctor: We highly recommend that you choose a pediatrician or family practitioner prior to the birth of your baby. Many doctors who specialize in the care of children recommend that you visit with them prior to the baby’s birth so that you can get to know each other. If you need help finding a pediatrician or family practitioner, our physician referral service can provide assistance. For a complete list of available doctors, please call
    1 (800) 400-DOCS.
  • WIC Program: The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program provides food assistance, nutritional counseling, and education for pregnant women, infants, and children under the age of five. Families from the MetroWest area with low and moderate incomes may be eligible to apply. For more information, please call the WIC program at (508) 620-1445.
  • Continuing Care & Home Visits: It is our experience that many new mothers and their babies can return home on the morning following their second night in the hospital. Mothers who prefer an earlier discharge may be eligible, through their insurance coverage, for a home visit by a community maternal/child health nurse.
